November is Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Month, a time to honor those living with dementia and to highlight the importance of early, supportive care. At iRehab Services, our goal is to help patients stay connected to their routines, relationships, and independence for as long as possible, while supporting caregivers every step of the way.

Occupational Therapy: Safety and Independence

Our OTs help families simplify daily life through:

  • Step-by-step routines for dressing, bathing, and mealtimes
  • Home modifications and fall-prevention strategies
  • Visual cues and memory stations to support independence

Speech Therapy: Communication & Connection

Our SLPs focus on:

  • Strengthening conversation and word-finding skills
  • Teaching memory strategies for daily tasks and names
  • Supporting caregivers with communication tips and cueing systems

Social Work: Caregiver Support

Our social workers partner with families to:

  • Navigate emotional stress and build coping strategies
  • Connect to respite care, support groups, and community resources
  • Plan for future care needs and advocacy
